New Skool Owner Nathan “Nate1” Tan made his mark on San Francisco as a teenager in the 80’s Golden Era of Hip Hop as a Graffiti Writer and Muralist. (See The History of American Graffiti Neelon/Gastman) Nate’s work can be seen in many SF boutiques and galleries in the form of original canvases and prints. “I’ve taken my passion for art from my high school days through my college years and my professional career as a graphic designer. From showing my work in galleries and even teaching the History of Graffiti Workshops at 1AM Gallery in SF, I could have never imagined how far Writing (aka Graffiti) would develop in my lifetime.”
